Thief Takes 67 Cell Phones from Metro PCS

Hillsborough deputies say he has a penchant for the Android 4G LTE model.

Hillsborough County sheriff’s deputies are looking for help to catch a thief they say stole 67 cell phones from the Metro PCS at 4545 Gunn Highway.

According to a sheriff’s office media release, the crime took place Dec. 18 around 4:36 a.m. The suspect smashed out the store’s front window with a brick and then took 67 Android 4G LTE phones before leaving in what is believed to be a late model, silver Honda Prelude.

The suspect’s description is sketchy, but deputies say he’s a white male in his 20s and has a medium build.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 813-247-8200. To be eligible for a cash reward, tipsters should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477). Tips can also be reported anonymously online at www.crimestopperstb.com or by texting "CSTB plus your tip" to C-R-I-M-E-S (274637).
