Tips From Community Lead Detectives To Accused Bank Robber

Hillsborough County Sheriff's detectives positively identified the man in surveillance photos taken at the Wells Fargo Bank robbery.

TAMPA, FL – Due to anonymous tips called in to the Crime Stoppers programs, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s detectives positively identified the man in surveillance photos taken during the robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank.

The bank at 12233 N. Florida Ave., Tampa, was robbed Tuesday, Feb. 13, by a man who walked in and demanded cash from a teller, implying that he had a gun he would use if the teller didn’t comply.

The Crime Stoppers tip line received a number of calls after surveillance photos of the robber were released.

As a result, detectives have issued an arrest warrant for 39-year-old Warren Latis Maxwell, whose whereabouts are unknown at this time.
