Video Released of Carrollwood Armed Robbery Suspect

An armed robber struck a 7-Eleven on Ehrlich Road Monday. Deputies are looking for help identifying the man.

TAMPA, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is looking for help identifying a man its deputies say held a store clerk at gunpoint Monday morning.

According to the sheriff’s office, a man walked into the 7-Eleven at 4301 Ehrlich Road around 1:21 a.m. Monday. The man had a black colored handgun in his possession, walked up to the cashier and ordered her to give him money while pointing the gun at her.

Deputies say the man placed a bag on the counter, which the cashier filled with an undisclosed amount of cash. After getting the bag back, the man left the store, an email from the sheriff’s office said.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

The sheriff’s office said the man deputies are after stands about 6 feet tall to about 6-foot-4. He weighs an estimated 160 pounds and has blue eyes and a thin build.

Anyone who recognizes the man in the photos or video is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 813-247-8200. Tips may also be submitted through Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-873-TIPS.
