Wanted Felon Sought After Brandishing Gun At Carrollwood Pub

CARROLLWOOD, FL – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is searching for Robert Irving Hubbard, 40, a violent felony offender, after he reportedly threatened people at a bar with a gun and ran away from deputies early Monday, Oct. 8.

According to the sheriff’s office, at 12:20 a.m. Hubbard was involved in a fight at the Green Parrot Pub, 11759 Dale Mabry Highway. During the fight, witnesses said he brandished a gun and fled the scene. He returned to the bar a second time at 1:13 a.m. and again fled.

When deputies arrived just minutes later, they searched the area and spotted Hubbard in a 2014 gray Kia near Weston Circle and Colby Road.

Initially, deputies began to follow Hubbard but quickly backed away as Hubbard traveled south in the northbound lanes of Dale Mabry Highway at a high rate of speed.

At 1:35 a.m., Hubbard crashed the Kia in the parking lot of Gonzalez Funeral Home, 7209 N. Dale Mabry Highway, and fled on foot.

He is now wanted for aggravated assault and fleeing and eluding deputies.

Prior to this charge, Hubbard was wanted on multiple charges out of Hillsborough County for violation of probation for dealing in stolen property, obtaining money from a secondhand dealer with an altered ID, robbery, fraudulent use of a credit card, grand theft and false information to a pawnbroker.
