100-Year-Old Clearwater Beach Restaurant Bought By Hospitality Group
A century-old Clearwater Beach restaurant and bar was bought by St. Pete-based Beachside Hospitality Group.
CLEARWATER, FL — The century-old Palm Pavilion Beachside Grill & Barat 10 Bay Esplanade on Clearwater Beach was bought by Beachside Hospitality Group, according to a news release.
With this acquisition, the St. Petersburg-based company owns and operates 16 waterfront restaurant brands across Florida. In Pinellas County, the group’s portfolio includes Salty Crab Bar & Grill, Crabby’s Dockside, Salty’s Island Bar & Grille, and Crabby’s Bar & Grill.
The Palm Pavilion, established in 1926, will continue to operate under its existing name.

Beachside Hospitality intends to keep the restaurant’s employees and build upon Palm Pavilion’s long-standing reputation while enhancing the guest experience.
“Palm Pavilion is one of those places that immediately feels right,” Greg Powers, CEO of Beachside Hospitality, said. “It’s energetic, it’s deeply connected to the community, and it aligns naturally with the waterfront experiences we specialize in and wish to continue being a part of. We’re excited to welcome Palm Pavilion into the Beachside Hospitality Group family.”

He added, “This is an exciting next step for us. Palm Pavilion has always been a place where people come together to enjoy the beach, the views, and great times with friends. We are looking forward to building on that legacy and energy and preserving it as a place people are excited to visit for years to come.”
