15-Year-Old Steals Pickup, Crashes Into Clearwater House
A 15-year-old boy was arrested after stealing a pickup truck and crashing into a Clearwater home.
CLEARWATER, FL — A 15-year-old boy was arrested after stealing a pickup truck and crashing into a Clearwater home.
At 7:07 p.m. Tuesday, Clearwater police received a call about a blue pickup truck that was driving recklessly in the area of Pennsylvania and Drew Street.
Within minutes, the driver lost control in the area of Betty Lane and Drew Street, crashing into a home at 1271 Drew St.

The driver of the truck fled the scene on foot and was followed by witnesses until police officers caught up with him on Cleveland Street near Missouri Avenue.
The 15-year-old was taken to the hospital as a precaution and then taken to the juvenile detention facility.

There were no other injuries. The Clearwater Fire Department is assessing the structural damage to the home.
