15-Year-Old Student Killed When Struck By Car On Way To Largo High

A 15-year-old Largo High School student was killed Friday morning when he was struck by a car on Belleair Road on his way to school.

CLEARWATER, FL — A 15-year-old Largo High School student was killed Friday morning when he was struck by a car on Belleair Road on his way to school.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 6:44 a.m., a 60-year-old Tampa woman was driving west on Belleair Road east of South Haven Drive, when the teen from Clearwater who was crossing the unlighted two-lane road stepped in front of her car.

The student died at the scene.
