19-Year-Old Charged With Reckless Driving Following April Crash
Police said Jacob Sironen was driving recklessly at speeds of at least 105 mph in a 40 mph zone at the time of the crash
CLEARWATER, FL — Clearwater Police officers have charged a 19-year-old accused of injuring several people during a high-speed crash April.
Jacob Sironen of 320 N. Betty Lane in Clearwater was charged with reckless driving with serious bodily injury in the April 26 crash. He was booked into the Pinellas County Jail late Sunday afternoon.
Police said Sironen was driving an unregistered 1997 Honda Civic recklessly at speeds of at least 105 mph in a 40 mph zone at the time of the crash in the 1200 block of Court Street.

The Civic collided with a 2015 Mazda SUV that was attempting to make a U-turn at that location.
Four people, including Sironen, were taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. Sironen sustained cuts to his face that required nearly 80 stitches.
