2 Arrested Following Armed Robbery Of Clearwater Pharmacy
Two men have been charged in the armed robbery of a CVS Pharmacy in unincorporated Clearwater on New Year's Day.

CLEARWATER, FL — Two men have been charged in the armed robbery of a CVS Pharmacy in unincorporated Clearwater on New Year's Day.
At about 5:20 a.m. Jan. 1, three men entered the CVS Pharmacy at 30387 U.S. 19 N. One man, armed with a handgun, jumped the counter of the pharmacy and ordered the pharmacist to open two safes containing opioids while the other two men, also armed with handguns, tied the hands of two employees behind their backs.
The robbers then put the drugs in garbage bags and left in a white sedan.

Deputies followed a trail of discarded medicine bottles to a home at 1045 West Avenue in Clearwater and found the white sedan used to flee the crime scene.
They arrested Cristopher Rachell and David Dobbins, both 19, around 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Deputies are still searching for the third robber.
Dobbins of Indiana was charged with one count of armed robbery, three counts of false imprisonment and one count of trafficking in oxycodone.
Rachell, address unknown, was charged with one count of armed robbery, three counts of false imprisonment, two counts of trafficking in hydrocodone and one count of possession of oxycodone.
