Police: Bodies Found In Clearwater Hotel Result of Murder-Suicide

CLEARWATER, FL -- Clearwater Police say two people found dead on Tuesday, Sept. 25 in a second-floor room at Shephard's Beach Resort, 619 S. Gulfview Blvd. on Clearwater Beach, were killed in a murder-suicide.

The bodies of Jeffrey Scott Little, 55, and Melissa Sue Little, 50, were found inside their second-floor room by a hotel employee Tuesday afternoon. The preliminary investigation indicates that Jeffrey Little shot and killed Melissa Little and then killed himself. The couple lives in the 5300 block of Reef Drive in New Port Richey. They had checked in to the hotel the day before.
