3 People Escape Clearwater House Fire

CLEARWATER, FL -- Clearwater Fire & Rescue crews responded to a house fire at 709 Richards Ave. at 8:45 a.m. Friday.

Heavy smoke was pouring from the single-story structure as crews arrived. Three people who were inside the house escaped without injury, and the fire was extinguished.

The cause of the blaze was determined to be electrical. Four people were displaced and are being assisted by the Red Cross.
