4 Pinellas County Parks Closed Until Further Notice
Weather conditions have prompted Pinellas County to close several parks to visitors.

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — Pinellas County residents with plans to visit local parks over the next day or so may find themselves out of luck.
The county announced Tuesday morning that the following parks will remain closed until further notice due to weather conditions:
- Lake Seminole Park, 10015 Park Blvd., Seminole
- Weedon Island Preserve, 1800 Weedon Drive N.E., St. Petersburg
- Sawgrass Lake Park, 7400 25th St. N., St. Petersburg
- Fort De Soto Park, 3500 Pinellas Bayway S., Tierra Verde
It is unclear how long the closings will last.

The entire Tampa Bay area remains under a flood watch until 8 p.m. Tuesday. Showers are anticipated throughout the day Tuesday with the possibility of more thunderstorms, as well.
Street flooding has been reported across the region with roads in St. Petersburg, Tampa and elsewhere also closed.

Scattered thunderstorms are also anticipated throughout the day on Wednesday and into the evening hours. Rain is expected to continue on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
