5 Injured In 5-Car Pileup On Gulf To Bay Monday Afternoon

CLEARWATER, FL — Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue are investigating a multi-vehicle crash with injuries on Gulf to Bay Boulevard just east of U.S. 19 Monday at 3:31 p.m.

Five vehicles were involved in the crash, and five people were taken to local hospitals. None of the injuries is thought to be life-threatening. Eastbound lanes immediately east of U.S.19 have been closed until the first entrance to Clearwater Mall.

Expect major delays on Gulf to Bay Boulevard just east of U.S. 19. The portion between U.S. 19 and the first entrance to Clearwater Mall is shut down until wreckage can be removed. Drivers will not be able to turn east on U.S. 19 from the northbound service road.
