7 Passengers Sustain Minor Injuries When Pinellas Bus Rear-Ended
Seven passengers aboard at Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority bus were injured Tuesday when an SUV struck the back of the bus.

CLEARWATER, FL — Seven passengers aboard at Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority bus were injured Tuesday when an SUV struck the back of the bus while it was parked.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 7:36 a.m., the bus was stopped in the outside lane of State Road 686 west of 62nd Street North to let passengers board.
Troopers said Nicholas Deane, 35, of Clearwater, didn't realize the bus was stopped and struck the rear of the bus with his Nissan SUV.

The passengers were taken to Northside Hospital, Morton Plant Hospital and Largo Medical Center to be treated for minor injuries.
