Albritton, Teixeira Win Clearwater City Council Seats

The Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections Office reported that 19,253 votes in Clearwater cast ballots in the election.

CLEARWATER, FL — Clearwater City Council member David Allbritton has been elected to a second term in Seat 4 with 56 percent of the vote, according to the unofficial results from Tuesdays election.

Albritton beat out Maranda Douglas who received 35 percent of the votes cast and Gerry Lee who received 8 percent of the votes.

In the hotly contested Seat 5 race, Clearwater artist and art studio owner Lina Teixeira was the victor, beating out critic and former Scientologist Aaron Smith-Levin and the Rev. Jonathan Wade.

Teixiera received 44 percent of the vote, Smith-Levin earned 36 percent of the votes and Wade 20 percent of the vote.
