Allstate Employees Volunteer To Keep Pinellas Trail Litter-Free

CLEARWATER, FL -- Twelve Allstate employees supported St. Petersburg-based Keep Pinellas Beautiful by adopting three miles of the Fred Marquis Pinellas Trail and clearing it of litter as part of Allstate’s annual Bring Out the Good Month. The program encourages Allstate employees to volunteer for, and donate to, the causes they care about most in their local communities.
“We recognize how each of us gives back may be different, but our mission is the same — to bring out the good,” said Dianne Kelley, volunteer project coordinator, Allstate. “Bring Out the Good Month has special meaning for Allstate employees. We proudly take this time to celebrate the good we do every day to help make our communities stronger, safer and more beautiful.”
The Allstate Florida Region adopted three miles of the Pinellas Trail from Blossom Lake Drive—including the Bay Pines and Park Street overpasses—to the west of Park Street at 85th Lane North. Kelley said she is on the trail nearly every weekend and was looking for a way to give back and keep it beautiful. The Allstate employees who volunteered go out every two months to beautify the adopted trail and usually collect between 25 to 75 pounds of trash during each volunteer event.
