Country Thunder Florida moving to Clearwater for 2026 Event (dailyfly.com) — A major three-day Country Thunder Florida festival is now set for May 8–10, 2026 at Clearwater’s waterfront Coachman Park, bringing big-name country acts and local Florida artists to town. City officials say they’re working around the clock to handle the last-minute move from St. Pete Beach and promise a full-scale fan experience with music, vendors, and special showcases.
2. Catch Snook from Shore (floridasportsman.com) — Clearwater anglers will recognize local fisherman Brian Bodino, whose shore-based snook tactics and memories from Clearwater Pass anchor this statewide how-to guide. The story also updates recovery work at Pier 60 and other Gulf piers damaged by recent hurricanes, while sharing detailed tips for catching snook from beaches, bridges, docks, and spillways around Florida.
3. Clearwater Central Catholic (Fla.) football ready to return back to form (on3.com subscription) — Clearwater Central Catholic’s football program is reloading after a rare “down” 10-3 season and a tough regional-final loss kept them from another state title shot. 5. Save Our Gulf from Big Oil! (bocaratontribune.com) — An environmental beach cleanup and press conference is happening this Saturday morning at Pier 60 on Clearwater Beach, organized by Sierra Club Florida, Clearwater Marine Aquarium, and student groups. Volunteers will help clean the shoreline, then hear about threats offshore drilling poses to Rice’s whales, marine wildlife, and the Gulf Coast economy, including here in Clearwater.
