'Dr. BBQ' Opens Tiki-Themed Restaurant At Clearwater Resort (patch.com) — Clearwater Beach residents and visitors can look forward to Squiki Tiki, a new tiki-themed barbecue restaurant from Food Network personality Ray "Dr. BBQ" Lampe, opening at the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach this November. The resort on Coronado Drive is also planning a pool deck renovation that will close the pool from early November through early January, promising an upgraded outdoor experience once work is complete.
2. Clearwater CRA to pay FrankCrum $7.5M under proposed cemetery settlement (tampabay.com) — Clearwater's Community Redevelopment Agency is poised to pay local employer FrankCrum $7.5 million to resolve a lawsuit over hundreds of graves believed to remain beneath the company's downtown campus. The agreement, expected to be approved Monday, follows years of dispute about responsibility for the former St. Matthews Baptist Church Cemetery. FrankCrum says it will now work with the community on how to respectfully handle the remains.
3.
