Belcher Road Paving Begins

Motorists should expect lane closings between Drew and Palmetto streets.

CLEARWATER, FL — Motorists who use North Belcher Road to get around might want to plan for some possible delays over the next two weeks or so.

Pinellas County has announced that its contractors have begun a paving project to resurface North Belcher Road from Drew Street to Palmetto Street. The project should take about two weeks to complete and will require some single lane closings as it progresses. It is also possible temporary lane closings at major intersections will occur, the county wrote in an email to media.

As work progresses, motorists can expect to see traffic signals and flaggers on site to direct them around any closed lanes. Work is expected to take place between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. daily.
