BJ's Wholesale Club To Open At Old Kmart In Clearwater

CLEARWATER, FL -- The former Clearwater Kmart won't sit empty for much longer. BJ’s Wholesale Club announced it will open a club in the Kmart building 26996 U.S. 19 N., in Clearwater in 2019.

This is the first BJ's Wholesale Club in Pinellas County. There are two in Hillsborough County.

The club will take over the Kmart building closed last December as part of Sears Holdings' decision to close low-performing store.

Clearwater members will have access to the latest services from BJ’s including digital coupons, same-day delivery, buy online and pick up in club and Express Scan.

Through BJ's Feeding Communities Program, the club will donate unsold produce, meat, poultry, seafood, dairy and bakery products daily to reduce food waste and provide wholesome, fresh food to neighbors in need.
