Man's Body Recovered Offshore From Sand Key
Police say the man appears to have been swimming at the time of his death.

The Clearwater Police Department is investigating the discovery of a man’s body found in waters off Sand Key Tuesday morning.
According to the agency, the middle-aged white male was found by a boater and was brought ashore to the Coast Guard station on Sand Key by Clearwater Fire & Rescue. The initial call came in around 10:45 a.m.
“The victim was dressed as if he might have been swimming,” police wrote in an email to media.

The man’s identity is not yet available.
Anyone with information about a missing man or who might know the identity of the victim is asked to call the Clearwater Police Department at 727-562-4420.
