Florida Senate should not allow public access to school property

People should be aware of a proposed bill that would open public school playgrounds and outdoor facilities to the public: SB 392: Joint Use of Public School Facilities.

I think people should be aware of a proposed bill that would open public school playgrounds and outdoor facilities to the public:  SB 392: Joint Use of Public School Facilities.

Here are my thoughts:
1- It isn't safe or clean to have school property open nights and weekends. Is every morning going to be a lockdown or "rain" day if they find homeless  people or beer bottles all over?

2-If taxpayers "own" schools then we also own fire trucks, school buses and Senator's cars and cell phones.

3-If the schools are not liable for injury or damage, who is liable, the cities who have no staff or oversight of the properties?

4-Our state has plenty of playgrounds and recreation facilities, this will not solve any problems but will create many more.

5-Who would ever proposed this as a good idea? Parents, schools or cities? I'm guessing no one.

If you have an opinion, please call and email your Florida Senators! They need to know what we want before they vote on this!!
