I Love This Place!

I don't think I've ever loved living in the Clearwater area more than right now. Free , perfect weather, how much better can it get? And now that "Winter" has put us on the map, who knows what's next? 

I finally saw "" the other day and was touched by how hard the production team reached for the real heart of the story.

The movie's use of a young boy to represent the tireless love and commitment of the CMA voluteer team worked for me. As trying to get Winter to drink fish milkshakes from her two-liter bottle, the scenes in the rescue pool seemed accurate enough.

The pesky pelican was a real touch. I remember him; he was there. 

Despite a few weird inaccuracies, like Winter participating in a relay race in the bay, the heart of the real story won out. Well-loved and well-worn rescue/rehab/release facility rescues baby dolphin and is itself rescued... and rehabbed. That's a story with a heart and seems to me to represent Clearwater at its best. 

This is a great place to live. It's a beautiful little city with a big heart. And ! I love this place.
