It's the Clearwater Neighborhoods Coalition October Forumfest
The Clearwater Neighborhoods Coalition is hosting a night of mix and mingle politics, can you join us?

On Monday night, Oct. 1, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. the Clearwater Neighborhoods Coalition has decided to try something different.
We are hosting an open, mix and mingle type forum. This might be a radical departure from some recent forums you might have read about or possibly attended. We think that you have heard enough speeches and now want to meet candidates on a closer level.
At 6:30 p.m. we begin with a voting equipment demonstration by an Election Ambassador from the Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections Office. The ambassador will show us what kind of equipment the county uses and how it functions. The demonstration lasts until 7 p.m. and then the floor opens to the candidates and the public. This is an opportunity for you to speak directly with federal, state, and county candidates that are seeking your support. In addition to the candidates there will be representatives on hand to discuss two City of Clearwater one Pinellas County referendum items.

If you want to talk to someone about the implications of the Affordable Healthcare Act or our national debt, or the number of days the 112th U.S. Congress worked in 2012 then this is your opportunity to get direct answers. If you are seeking answers to questions about how Florida can afford a 12th university but cannot fund current education without raising tuition, fees and costs for other services, then this is your night to get answers.
Maybe you are interested in what direction the county will take to pay for emergency medical services, or perhaps you thought removing fluoride from our drinking water was a bad or good idea. This is your chance to talk about these things. If you are looking to see where candidates stand on issues that are important to you as a resident of Clearwater this is your night.

Go to this LINK to see a list of the candidates and representatives that we have invited to this event. As you can imagine the candidates are juggling many schedules and having to be at many places at one time. Some things are not yet finalized and we are still working things out. As we get more information the list will be updated to reflect what we know in the world of ever changing updates and replies.
