Kid’s Photography Contest

The Humane Society of Pinellas is holding photography contest for kids. The contest is the contest will run now through May 31st and is open to all children between the ages of 6 and 16.

Children and teens can enter by submitting a photo they took of a pet being treated kindly - or is just happy. There will be 2 age groups: 6-11 years and 11-16 years. Prizes will be awarded in each age group and the winner will be featured in various publications including HSP’s social media and 2014 Celebration of Companionship Calendar. Enter by emailing the photo to Megan@HumanePinellas.org or hand-delivering or mailing it to HSP, 3040 State Road 590, Clearwater, FL 33759.

Photos will be judged by fellow photography enthusiasts and will be based on photo quality and creativity. “We are pleased to offer this contest.  It gives children the opportunity to show us, through pictures, their relationships with their pets and animals.  We believe strongly in the benefits of pet ownership and this program helps celebrate this important relationship. ” stated Megan Kempshall, Education Outreach Specialist.
