Pinellas County Safety Communications Center Manager Wins Prestigious Henning Award
Pinellas County Safety Communications Center manager Ruthie Doles wins prestigious Henning Award
In January of this year, Pinellas County Public Safety Communications Center manager Ruthie Doles received the Florida Society of Certified Public Manager’s Henning Award 2012 at the annual symposium.
The Henning Award is the American Academy of Certified Public Manager’s highest honor. In 2010 and 2011, under Doles' leadership, a group of Florida Certified Public Managers developed a Continuing Education Program for CPM’s, a task previously thought to be impossible. Also under her leadership, Doles and her team redefined the role of a regional chapter modeling professional development, open discussion, and networking activities for other chapters.
A past president of the society’s Suncoast Chapter, Doles has also served as the member-at-large of continuing education, a state level position. Her favorite role in the organization however was the Awards Committee chairperson. She is self-described proponent of recognition. Doles is a past recipient of the Pinellas County Silver Award for Leadership as well as other leadership awards. She currently sits on Interim Board of Directors for the society and the state 911 dispatcher certification exam committee.
