The City approved the extended hours for a 6 month trial, this against the wishes of many residents.
The only dissenting vote was made by Bill Jonson, kudos to him for representing the residents and not a small group of pilots.
In e-mails sent to Mr Jonson and Mr Cretekos of the council I asked three questions:

- What benefits will the residents of Clearwater receive from the extended hours?
- What is the current penalty/fine for a pilot who lands after the airpark's official closing time?
- What are the criteria that the council will use to determine whether the extended hours will be made permanent?
I'd appreciate your feedback on the airpark operating hours, now year round 7:00am to 11:00pm.
