Most of my Patch blogs have been concerned with the airpark, well now it's time to move on. We live in a great place, we may complain about things but the fact is we do live in a sub-tropical paradise. For 8 months a year our weather is fantastic and for the remaining few months, hot, humid and wet with a risk of hurricanes.
I've lived in the mid-west and experienced summers that have been hotter and more humid than Florida and in the same locations suffered through winters of snow from November to April.
Traffic - well I suggest anyone who thinks our traffic is bad spend a few days in Chicago, Los Angeles or Houston. For the most part we have short periods of intense traffic in specific spots, usually avoidable.

We have a multitude of choices for dining out from Mom & Pop's, to chain restaurants to upscale - all within a relatively few minutes drive from any Clearwater home.
Entertainment - What do you want to do? If it's not in Clearwater you may have to drive 30 minutes to Tampa. Whatever it is you want to do it's close.

Activities - Pinellas has a great parks system, with boardwalks, lakes, ball fields and picnic areas. I urge you all to get to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium as quickly as possible before they release the movie "Dolphin Tale" in September, because I have a feeling they'll 'Seaworldize' the place and unfortunatley it will lose a lot of it's current charm.
Beaches - This time of year the crowds have thinned out and the county's many beaches are accessible to all. I've been to Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii and California and I'd put Pinellas county beaches up against any of theirs.
Nowhere is perfect, but we're living in very close to perfect place - so enjoy!
