CLEARWATER, FL — A car crashed into a fire hydrant at the intersection of Missouri Avenue and Turner Street Friday, and has caused flooding in this area, according to a Clearwater Police Department news release. The intersection is closed until at least 3 p.m. for needed repairs. Authorities ask that drivers avoid the area and use alternate routes.

Authorities said there weren't any injuries in the crash.
