Clearwater Accidents Create Headaches For Monday Commuters

CLEARWATER, FL — Several accidents caused headaches for commuters trying to get to work in Clearwater Monday morning.

Before dawn, Clearwater Fire & Rescue was called to an accident on Chestnut Street and Palm Avenue in which a driver had to be extricated.

A short time later, a pickup truck crashed on Nursery Road west of U.S. 19, knocking down power lines. Traffic was backed up while Duke Energy made repairs to the power lines.
