Clearwater Beach Gas System Customers Without Service
Crews will work through the night to re-establish service to Clearwater Gas System customers.

CLEARWATER, FL -- Clearwater Gas System is on site at Clearwater Beach working to restore gas service to customers who experienced a gas service outage earlier Tuesday, March 27.
However, to make the needed repairs, the gas system first needs to be shut down and then turned back on in segments to re-energize the gas mains, according to the city.
The gas team is working in two phases:

Gas appliances will not be functioning in affected households until a gas technician comes to physically restore service.
The outage was caused by construction taking place at the Clearwater Gas System's main office at 400 N. Myrtle Ave. During construction, the gas mains that provide service to Clearwater Beach were rerouted. In doing so, the gas line pressure dropped, which caused the service outage.
Crews will work through the night to re-establish service to Clearwater Gas System customers.
