Clearwater Bicyclist Critical Following Crash

CLEARWATER, FL — An 81-year-old man is in critical condition following an accident Tuesday on the Sand Key Bridge.

According to Clearwater Police, at 12:04 p.m. Robert Incerto was riding his bike north on Sand Key Bridge, attempting to make a left turn onto South Gulfview Boulevard, when he lost control of his bicycle and was thrown over the handlebars and onto the pavement.

He was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with severe head injuries.
