CLEARWATER, FL -- The Clearwater Police Department and Outfront Media Inc. have joined hands to bring attention to a local double homicide case.

Outfront has donated space on several billboards across the Tampa Bay area. The billboards urge anyone with information in the shooting deaths of retired Clearwater residents David and Mina Swan to come forward to help in the case.

The Swans were found dead in their Flushing Avenue home on Sept. 29.

"We are grateful to have a community partner such as Outfront to help detectives get information in this case," said Police Chief Daniel Slaughter. "Their assistance is tremendously appreciated."

"Billboards are a time-proven way to get in front of large numbers of people throughout the day, which is what makes them such an effective tool to assist in police efforts," said Rusty McClelland, Tampa general manager at Outfront Media. "When asked, we knew there was a way we could help. We hope Florida residents and visitors will see the message on our billboards and come together as a community to share information and help police bring this person to justice."

The Outfront billboards are based at high-visibility locations such as U.S. 19, Hillsborough Avenue and Ulmerton Road.

Anyone with information in the case should call Clearwater Police at 727-562-4141.
