Clearwater Gas Increases Residential Customer Rates

CLEARWATER, FL — Effective March 1, Clearwater Gas System's residential customer rates increased for natural and propane gas monthly customers. This increase is necessary to correct a fee assessment imbalance between commercial and residential service charges.

The average residential customer will see a $2 monthly increase. The impact on standard commercial natural gas customers will be a monthly decrease of 4 cents per therm.

The residential rate increase will impact 26,244 of the 28,865 natural and propane gas customers.

Clearwater Gas System urges residential customers needing assistance paying their natural or propane gas bills to contact Clearwater's Utility Customer Service office at 727-562-4600 to be referred to local agencies that may be able to assist customers who need help making their utility bill payments.
