Clearwater Hosts Forums For Candidates Running For City Council
Both forums will be held in City Council Chambers, 100 N. Osceola Ave. and will be moderated by Former Bay News 9 Anchor Al Ruechel.

The city of Clearwater will host a Clearwater City Council Candidates Forum at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 11 for the mayoral candidates and 7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 12 for City Council seats 2 and 3. Both forums will be held in City Council Chambers, 100 N. Osceola Ave. and will be moderated by Former Bay News 9 Anchor Al Ruechel.

Clearwater residents will vote in the General Election on March 17 for candidates running for Mayor and Clearwater City Council seats 2 and 3. For Mayor, residents may vote for Elizabeth “Sea Turtle” Drayer, Frank Hibbard, Bill Jonson or Morton Darrell Myers. For Seat 2, residents may vote for Mark Bunker, Michael Mannino, Bruce Rector, Eliseo Santana or Lina Teixeira. For Seat 3, residents may vote for Kathleen Beckman, Dr. Bob Cundiff, Bud Elias and Scott Thomas.
Clearwater residents will also vote for six referendum questions on March 17. Details of what those questions are and what a “yes” or “no” vote mean can be found at myclearwater.com/election.
