Clearwater Man Charged With 9 Counts Of Possessing Child Pornography

Detectives began their investigation after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

CLEARWATER, FL — A 26-year-old Clearwater man was arrested Thursday after being accused of multiple counts of possessing child pornography.

Detectives assigned to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office Crimes Against Children Unit began their investigation after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that child pornography was being uploaded through the internet in the Clearwater area.

Detectives traced the internet address to Atititorn Pattanapaisarn of 69th Street North in Clearwater. Detectives obtained a search warrant for Pattanapaisarn’s internet account and found multiple images of child pornography, according to a sheriff's report.

When Patanapaisarn was interviewed by detectives, they said he admitted to searching for child pornography online and saving the images to his internet account.

He was charged with nine counts of possessing child porn and is being held at the Pinellas County Jail where his bail is set at $90,000.
