Clearwater Man Charged in Molestation Case

He's accused of molesting a 13-year-old boy. Detectives believe there may be other victims.

CLEARWATER, FL — A 42-year-old Clearwater man faces lewd and lascivious molestation charges after Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputies say he inappropriately touched a boy over the summer.

The case against Shawn Daly began to unfold in August 2015 when the 13-year-old boy told his mother about the alleged crime, an email from the sheriff’s office stated. The abuse allegedly occurred between June and July.

The teen told detectives Daly offered him “gifts, sexual favors, and touched him inappropriately,” an email from the sheriff’s office stated.
