Clearwater Man Develops App To Keep Pastors Connected To Youth
Pastors struggling to attract young people to their churches can now subscribe to a new app by Churchy LLC.
CLEARWATER, FL — Pastors struggling to attract young people to their churches can now subscribe to a new app by Churchy LLC to help bridge the generational gap between older Americans and youth.
Churchy can develop an app to help pastors stay connected to people in their congregations who are always on their smart phones. The app offers features such as donations, prayer requests, contact information, parish events, service times and directions to the church. It also quotes scripture with a new quote every day. The app can be customized for the specific church’s needs.
“I developed these apps because people are on the phones and are looking for church information,” said Alex Hudson, founder of Churchy and a member of Iglesia Vida Abundante in Clearwater. “Pastors don’t always see a need to connect with people through smart phones, and that is a mistake.”
