Clearwater Man Accused Of Trying To Wrestle Car Keys Away From Woman At Subway Arrested

Tampa police have arrested a man accused of an attempted strong-armed robbery at Subway in Clearwater.

Police are looking for 24-year-old Emmitt Williams of Clearwater who was identified after video and photos of the robbery were posted on the Clearwater Police Facebook page.

CLEARWATER, FL — Tampa police have arrested a man accused of trying to take a woman's car keys at the Subway restaurant on Drew Street Oct. 27.

Clearwater police put out a warrant for the arrest of 24-year-old Emmitt Williams of Clearwater who was identified after video and photos of the attempted strong-armed robbery were posted on the Clearwater Police Facebook page.

Just before 7:30 p.m. Oct. 27, a man confronted a woman as she was leaving the Subway at 2006 Drew St. and demanded the keys to her car. When she retreated into the store to get away from him, he followed her and tried to wrestle the keys away from her.
