The aquarium has first-hand knowledge of the devastating effects plastic has on sea animals and their habitat. The elimination of single-use plastic water bottles at Clearwater Marine Aquarium will reduce the amount of plastic waste by more than 100,000 single-use plastic bottles in one year.
Aquarium guests now have the option to purchase JUST Water, which comes in a 100 percent recyclable, paper-based carton. The carton is composed primarily of responsibly sourced paper from managed forests certified by the Forest Stewardship Council with a plant-based bioplastic cap made from sugarcane.
