Clearwater Officer Charged With Stalking In Pasco County: Report

A Clearwater police officer was arrested in Pasco County after sending threatening messages to his girlfriend and her family, reports said.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — A Clearwater police officer faces charges after sending threatening messages to his girlfriend, according to multiple reports.

Officer Brian Tejera, who is accused of sending threatening written and video messages to his girlfriend, as well as members of her family, was arrested Sunday evening, Bay News 9 reported.

The 40-year-old officer, who has been with the department since 2007, was arrested by the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office and charged with aggravated stalking, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

Tejera has been placed on administrative leave by the Clearwater Police Department.

Police Chief Eric Gandy called the charges against him “a disturbing allegation.”

Tejera was arrested in 2021 in Tarpon Springs on DUI charges and was aggressive with officersafter they pulled him over for driving erratically, WFLA reported.
