Accomplishment: Spencer Russell is an active kid, who enjoys outdoor games and adventures. He wants to be a police officer or soldier when he grows up. He also is considering a career as a video game developer.

 Russell is new to Clearwater, moving to Florida in August.

Keys to Awesomeness: Russell enjoys outdoor adventures and games, like playing outside, swimming and exploring nature and animals. He's polite and thoughtful, reflecting on both his family's cross-country move from California to Florida after the death of his father.

Losing a parent is a difficult life stage at any age, but more so, for a nine-year-old who happened to be the first person to discover his father suffered a fatal heart attack in his sleep.

Russell is coping well. He loves video games and spending time at the  with his mom and sisters.

Russell likes making new friends, enjoys school (especially PE class) and loves his new home in Florida.
