CLEARWATER, FL — Clearwater Police detectives have charged a 39-year-old man with armed robbery in connection with a bank robbery that occurred in January.

Investigators recovered the suit and bag he had the money in from two nearby trash containers, and the DNA on those items matched Morris. He purchased the suit at a local thrift store using a clothing voucher with his name on it. Additionally, he was seen on surveillance video taking a bus to the scene of the crime.
Detectives said he is transient and moved around Pinellas County so it was a challenge to find him once they identified him as being involved in the robbery.
