Clearwater Police Honor 2 Residents With Samaritan Award

CLEARWATER, FL – Clearwater Police Chief Dan Slaughter honored two residents Monday, June 25 with the Clearwater Police Department’s Samaritan Award.

Jim Roble and Kelsey King were recognized by Slaughter with the agency's highest award for community members.

The two helped apprehend, subdue and detain a man in March who had been acting strangely in their neighborhood while under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

The CPD Samaritan Award goes to those residents who go above and beyond the call of duty to assist police or others in making Clearwater a safer place.
