Clearwater Police Arrest Man In Fatal Stabbing At Sunset Lounge

Clearwater police have arrested four people in connection with a fatal stabbing at the Sunset Lounge.

CLEARWATER, FL — Clearwater police homicide detectives have arrested four people following a fatal stabbing at the Sunset Lounge Tuesday.

The call came in just before 3 a.m. from the lounge at 2558 Sunset Point Road. Samir Dauti, 33, who was uninvolved in the fight but tried to break it up, was stabbed. He was taken to Mease Countryside Hospital, where he died less than an hour later.

Two people involved in the fight at the Sunset Lounge were arrested. Christopher Pittman, 34, is accused of pointing a gun at another man and Shannon Carias, 43, is accused of striking a woman in the head with a pool stick.

Pittman was charged with aggravated assault with a firearm. Carias was charged with aggravated battery.

A third man, Jarvis Miles, 33, wh0 is accused of stabbing Dauti, remained at large until Thursday when he turned himself into police. He's been charged with second-degree murder. Police said he has been arrested nearly a dozen times in Pinellas County since 2008.

Also arrested Thursday was Miles's girlfriend, Angela Brandes, 27, who police said hid Miles for two days. She was charged with being an accessory to murder after the fact.
