Clearwater Police Investigate Serious Crash With Injuries

CLEARWATER, FL -- A man is in critical condition at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg after his scooter collided with a 2006 Ford Ranger at the intersection of Memorial Causeway and Island Way at 4:33 p.m. Thursday, May 31.

The scooter was traveling west on the causeway when the Ranger driven by Jason Bedami, 36, of Clearwater made a left turn in front of the scooter.

The scooter operator was taken to Bayfront Health by helicopter. The name of the scooter operator has not been released.
