Clearwater Police Seek Help Identifying Macy's Shoplifter

CLEARWATER, FL -- Clearwater Police detectives are asking for the public's help to identify a shoplifter at Westfield Countryside Mall earlier this month.

On Jan. 20 at Macy's inside the mall at 27001 U.S. 19 N. in Clearwater, a man stuffed a stolen backpack with clothes and electronics from the store. When he was approached outside the store by security personnel, he dropped the backpack and ran.

He is described as a white male, about 50 years old, 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, balding with black glasses that he wore on top of his head. He was wearing a black shirt, khaki pants, black jacket and tennis shoes.
