Clearwater Vintage Aerial Photographs Now Available Online
Experience Pinellas County as it was 60 years ago in the Clearwater Flying Company Collection of more than 850 photos.

CLEARWATER, FL -- Experience Pinellas County as it was 60 years ago in the Clearwater Flying Company Collection of more than 850 photographs made available for the first time by the Clearwater Public Library System via the Pinellas Memory local history portal: www.pinellasmemory.org.
• The Clearwater Flying Company Collection features more than 650 birds-eye-view aerial photographs of Pinellas County and neighboring counties during the late 1950s and early 1960s. An additional 200 photographs feature the Clearwater Airpark and local aeronautical activities.
• Compare the vintage aerial photographs with their current locations on a custom Google Earth map: https://bit.ly/cfcmapit.

• See local landmarks, such as the Belleview-Biltmore Hotel, Clearwater Marine Aquarium, Fort Harrison Hotel, and Clearwater Beach as they were when your grandparents first visited.
The Clearwater Flying Company was incorporated in 1944 and operated until 1973. The company slogan was "A Plane to Fit Your Need." Staff included Robert D. Bickerstaffe Jr., President, and Robert G. Varner, Manager.
