Clearwater Woman Struck, Killed By Vehicle
The woman was pronounced dead at the Wednesday afternoon accident scene in Pinellas Park, officials said.

PINELLAS PARK, FL – A Clearwater woman was crossing Belcher Road in Pinellas Park this afternoon when she was struck by a vehicle and died at the scene, officials said.
The victim was identified as Jessica Pepin, 29, in the accident reported at 1:26 p.m. on the 10300 block of Belcher, according to the Pinellas Park Police Department.
The driver of the vehicle, a 23-year-old man from Kenneth City, suffered minor injuries and cooperated with investigators, police said. Witnesses to the crash said Pepin began to run just prior to being struck by the Toyota, the agency said.

Speed or impairment do not appear to be factors in the crash, and no charges are expected at this time, police said.
Southbound lanes of Belcher Road between Bryan Dairy Road and 90th Avenue North were closed during the investigation.
