Clearwater Yard Waste Collection To Resume For 1 Week

In response to the city of Clearwater’s declaration of a state of emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all non-essential services were suspended. Suspended services included yard waste and bulk item collection.

Because yard waste and bulk items have been placed at the curb for collection throughout the city, yard waste pick up will resume for one week (April 6 to 10), to give residents an opportunity to have their waste collected. Residents needing yard waste and bulk item collection should place their waste out for collection by 7 a.m. on their regularly scheduled solid waste collection days. This is a temporary, one week, resumption of yard waste and bulk item collection. After Friday, April 10, this service will be suspended again.

Solid waste crews will continue to provide residential and commercial solid waste collection, as well as residential & multi-family blue-barrel collection. Collected recyclables are being rerouted to the Pinellas County Waste-to-Energy Plant for disposal.
